图为2005年9月13日，海闻教授代表中国经济50人论坛出席在纽约召开的“中美企业家高峰会”并发表演讲。

   海闻， 北京大学副校长，北京大学中国经济研究中心常务副主任，教授，西方经济学专业博士生导师，北京大学经济学学士，美国加利福尼亚大学(戴维斯)经济学博士。曾任美国加州大学经济系讲师、美国福特路易斯学院商学院经济系助教授、副教授(终身职)，在美国期间，曾担任中国留美经济学会会长。主要研究领域为国际经济学和发展经济学，在《美国经济评论》等国内外权威学术刊物上发表了大量研究成果。曾主持编写《经济学译丛》、《国际经济学译丛》、《现代工商管理丛书》等教科书系列。

　　Dr. Wen Hai received his Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from University of California, Davis, U.S.A, and his A.B.. in political economics from Peking University, China. He has served on faculty at Fort Lewis College, Colorado State University, USA; the Australian National University, the University of California, Davis, USA; and California State University, Sacramento, California, USA. During his stay in U.S.A. Dr. Wen Hai was President of Chinese Economist Society. His academic fields are international economics (trade and finance), development economics and economic transitions in former planed economies. He has published numerous articles in various academic journals including America Economic Review, International Trade, and so on.
